How does a Fractional CMO fit into my team?
Your fractional CMO will integrate fully with your team and act as an employee on your leadership team. Your fCMO will build and coach your marketing team and/or vendors, be accountable to leadership and/or board, and be a representative & steward for your brand.
What if I don’t have marketing staff in place?
Your Fractional CMO can help guide you through (a) finding contractors/vendors to own tactical execution, or (b) making your first marketing hire.
Will my Fractional CMO handle hiring + firing?
Yes. As a part of your leadership team, your fCMO will own the entire marketing function, including personnel decisions.
Will I always work with the same Fractional CMO?
Yes. Your fCMO has a limited number of clients so you get they can focus on your brand and provide you attentive, all-in guidance.
What’s the scope of my Fractional CMO’s engagement?
Your fractional CMO’s focus is to guide and build your marketing team-who owns tactical execution. Your fCMO collaborates with your leadership team to set a strategy, and coaches with your marketing staff to deploy it, measure it, and optimize it.
Beyond helping establish processes and setting desired outcomes, your fCMO doesn’t get involved in functional tasks such as writing or sending marketing emails, crafting ads, or writing blog content.
How many hours does each program include?
Our programs don’t limit the number of hours your fCMO spends on your marketing (within reason). Your fCMO focuses on maximizing your marketing budget and resources and will adjust the time spent as your needs change.
How long is the average engagement period?
As a guideline, we recommend a minimum engagement of 6 to 12 months to see optimal results (excluding Workshops and Hourly Coaching).
There’s no maximum length for an engagement, but our aim is to grow your business enough to justify a full-time CMO as soon as possible.
What additional costs should I expect to incur?
Your program costs cover your fractional CMO’s guidance and coaching. You should expect to incur additional costs for marketing technology (marketing automation software, split-testing tools, etc.), marketing staff and/or vendors (marketing technicians, agencies, freelancers, etc.), and advertising costs.
What are your payment terms?
For workshops, we require a 50% deposit to book. The balance is due the day before the workshop is scheduled.
Engagements are billed monthly to a credit card or ACH account on file. We also support quarterly billing for a 3% discount.
